Upgrade Your Garage with a Custom Epoxy Floor Coating
Your garage shouldn't look like an afterthought. It's usable space—and when the floor is done right, the entire room levels up. At Apex Coatings, we install high-performance epoxy floor systems that combine clean design with real durability.
Whether your garage is for parking, storage, a workshop, or a home gym, we turn stained, dusty concrete into a finished surface that's easy to clean and built to take daily abuse. No quick coats. No shortcuts. Just a system installed the right way—so it looks sharp now and holds up for years.
We serve the Dallas–Fort Worth Metroplex, including Dallas, Fort Worth, Arlington, Plano, Frisco, McKinney, Grapevine, Southlake, Irving, Grand Prairie, and surrounding areas.
The Benefits of Epoxy Garage Floors
Epoxy isn't just for looks—it's protection. When installed correctly, an epoxy system strengthens your concrete and gives you a surface that performs.
Durable
Epoxy floors are built for real use—cars, heavy tools, equipment, foot traffic. Unlike bare concrete, epoxy is highly resistant to staining from oil, gas, chemicals, and grime. It also helps protect the slab from wear and breakdown over time.
Easy to Clean
No more dusty concrete. Epoxy creates a sealed surface that sweeps and mops clean fast. Spills wipe up easily, and the floor stays looking clean with minimal maintenance.
Customizable
You're not stuck with plain gray. Choose from flake floors, metallic finishes, or quartz systems depending on the look and performance you want. We'll match the style to your space and how you actually use it.
Customization Options for Your Epoxy Garage Floor
Your floor should fit the space—not the other way around. Here are a few popular options we install:
Color Choices
From clean neutrals to bold colors, we'll help you choose a look that matches your home and gives your garage a finished, professional feel.
Decorative Flake Systems
Flake floors are the most popular option for garages. They add depth, hide dirt between cleanings, and create a strong, textured surface that looks high-end.
Slip-Resistant Textures
If you want more grip, we can build in slip resistance while keeping the floor looking clean. Great for garages, gyms, and high-traffic spaces.
The Epoxy Installation Process
Most garage floors can be installed in 2–3 days, depending on the condition of the concrete and the system you choose.
Step 1 — Surface Prep
This is the most important part. We mechanically grind the concrete, remove contaminants, and repair cracks/pits so the coating bonds properly.
Step 2 — Primer/Base Coat
We apply a base coat designed to lock in adhesion and create a strong foundation.
Step 3 — Build the System
This is where your design comes to life—flake broadcast, metallic effects, or quartz build—installed evenly for a seamless finish.
Step 4 — Topcoat Protection
We finish with a high-performance clear topcoat for durability, chemical resistance, and long-term wear.
Step 5 — Cure + Return to Service
After curing (typically 24–72 hours), your floor is ready for normal use.
